Molesworth Environment Centre

The Molesworth Environment Centre is a Department for Education Children and Young People run facility catering to all Tasmanian schools K-6 and Teambuilding activities for classes 7-10. Students participate in a range of curriculum aligned programs with an emphasis on inquiry and discovery based learning. All programs are run in the outdoors as students learn in and about our environment in the picturesque Molesworth Valley. Programs include: Biodiversity, Sustainability, Wellbeing, Team Building and more.

Mt Cameron Field Study Centre

Is an outdoor education facility catering for students of all ages and also provides an excellent base for groups wishing to explore the north-east of Tasmania. As a self-contained facility in the bush, it is suitable for conducting training workshops.

Sustainability Learning Centre

Tasmania’s Sustainability Learning Centre is an innovative and visionary purpose built educational facility, which offer programs both on and off-site. It is situated adjacent to prominent reserves near the Hobart College campus at Mt Nelson, Tasmania, amongst 65 hectares of bushland which is habitat for a number of threatened species.

Woodbridge Marine Discovery Centre

Situated in the d’Entrecasteaux Channel at Woodbridge, the Marine Discovery Centre gives students of all ages the opportunity to learn about, discover and care for the marine environment through diverse shore and sea based programs. The Marine Discovery Centre is a Department for Education, Children and Young People facility. Built over the water, the Centre is ideally located to help Tasmanian students discover and learn about their marine environment. 

The Centre incorporates teaching areas, an aquarium room, marine pool and touch tanks, as well as displays on marine biodiversity and human impacts on the ocean. The centre also operates a research vessel, the RV Penghana. The Marine Discovery Centre’s educational programs are hands on and aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
